The last week of July we were without a babysitter so I took a week holidays. It took a while to realize that I couldn't have planned a holiday better as this one butted right up against August long weekend. Woot!!! I made big plans.... I wanted to go through my entire house from top to bottom, cleaning and organizing every nook and cranny.
I am a notorious procrastinator and I have to admit that I had some (a lot) of doubt this goal would come to pass. To my delighted surprise come Saturday afternoon I had actually completed everything that I intended! Even with spending two days strictly visiting and not cleaning I was still successful and with two days to spare.
I still can't believe it myself, maybe I am growing up or something......
Now I have a brand new house (at least that is what it feels like) I also have a clear reminder as to how truly blessed we really are. We have lived in this house for three years and after a week of going through everything;
This is what we gave away:
This is what we threw out:
After showing hubby these pics he looked around the house and asked, "Where did all this come from?" I just shook my head and replied, "I have no idea!!!"

Great! I need to follow your lead and get my house in order. One day, one day.
That is fantastic! I am so jealous b/c I would love to make that much progress on my house. I am with you on understanding how we end up with so much stuff. I am really trying to learn to live with less.(except free swingsets) Good work!
Good Job!!! It is amazing when you throw stuff out and reorganize, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot missing from your house does it?
By the way, Check out my blog, I have a suprise for you on there!

We have been trying so hard to clean up organize and get rid of clutter! This is an inspiration to just get it done! Thanks!
Congrats. It is a big accomplishment to get all that done. Way to go, girl!
I had to nod my head in agreement about the procrastination comment and the "growing up" comment as well!
Nice job cleaning up! What an accomplishment, that is not easy!
